1. What do I need to do before I can start driving?
A Provisional Drivers License, and be 17 years of age. It is also worthwhile having an eyesight test to check that you meet the minimum eyesight standard to begin driving lessons. (Reading a number plate from 67 feet /s 20.5 metres away).
2. How much are driving lessons with an Acclaim instructor?

3. How often should I have my driving lessons?
How often you have your driving lessons is entirely up to you. Acclaim recommends 1 or 2 driving lessons of 2 hours per week if at all possible.
4. What is the cheapest way of booking my lessons?

5. How many driving lessons will I need to take?
Driving is a skill that some people learn quicker than others. Your instructor will monitor your progress at the end of each lesson using Acclaim's Track Record. Each pupil varies depending on their individual learning curve, age etc.
6. Do Acclaim offer Intensive courses?
Yes. This can be arranged by your local centre. Your course can be as intensive as you wish (subject to availability). You will first have a 1.5 hour Assessment driving lesson to determine how many more hours of driving tuition you need to reach test standard. Previous driving experience is taken into account. Driving Courses start from 10 hours.
7. Do I need to pass the Theory Test before I can start my driving lessons?
No. In fact it is a good idea to learn the theory whilst you are learning the practical driving as it can bring the subject alive making it easier to understand and remember.
8. What should I study to pass the Theory Test?
There are 2 Acclaim mock test books and Theory Test CD-ROMS as well as Hazard Perception CD-ROMS & DVD's All of which contain official DSA exam questions. More...
