Part 3 Training
Part 3 is a 40-hour course to include classroom training, in-car practice, home study and self-evaluation.
We'll help you develop the skills you will need to train your pupils in the correct way. We'll provide you with two days of training in the classroom to underpin the twenty-eight hours of 1 to 1 training in the car. A total of 40 hours of theory and practical training, including a helpful mock test.
Trainee licence
When you've completed your 40 hours' training, you can apply for a trainee licence and take up a franchise with us to start earning before you've even passed. To help you with this, you will need to complete an extra 20 hours of training.
Your Test
A 1-hour practical test will examine your instructional ability and technique. The examiner will sit in the back and observe your 'live lesson'. The test is marked on 17 different areas including how you plan the lesson, how you manage risk and which teaching and learning strategies you implement.
Then you're all done!
How long will it take?
Our standard training period varies from just 3 months right up to a year. This flexible approach offers you the freedom of learning around your other commitments.
